Summer time!

Is it Spring? Is it Winter? Is it Summer?

Colorado weather just can't seem to make up it's mind this time of year.  Our closets are confused about exactly what season should be up front,  so it just becomes a jumble of multiple seasons.  The snow boots competing with the cute flip flops and strappy sandals. Our flowers and lawns are wondering where the rain is or if the snow is coming back.  We wonder if it's too early to get those vegetables and summer annuals in the ground.

Happy New Year

Greetings and Happy New Year from Connections Counseling!

We have heard from many of our customers and clients that 2011 was a rough year.  We started our own journey last year, building our practice to serve our community with talented and experienced clinicians.  Reaching for your dreams isn't always easy, but we believe that the difficult times lead us to the places we were meant to be and the things we were meant to learn.  We certainly learned a lot in 2011 and are that much more prepared to move forward.

Harvest time

This time of year always makes me want to create changes in all areas of my life.  The brilliant colors of the changing leaves let us know that another year has passed and the holidays will soon be upon us.  I want to get ready for those long and cold winter months by cleaning and reorganizing and nesting.

It is also a great time to take stock of your life.  There is something beautiful about the light during the Fall months.  The soft orange light, mixed with the crispness of cold weather illuminates the places in our lives that we may want to be different next year when the leaves fall.

Choosing the right therapist for you or your family

How do we choose a therapist?

There are so many factors to consider when choosing a therapist for yourself or your family. There are over a half a million licensed therapists in the United States and Colorado has a large share of those!  It can be overwhelming browsing through the hundreds of therapists in your area.  But what is really important? We all have different things that are important to us and you have to determine what matters most to you.    Most therapists at least offer free phone consultations and some even offer a free 30 minute face to face consult.

We are open for business

We created Connections Counseling because we saw a need in our community for effective and sustainable treatment for trauma and other child welfare issues.   We developed a nurturing and accepting place for people to come and heal.   We wanted to offer services with clinicians who have been in the field and have extensive experience.  This is how Connections Counseling was born.

We are currently open for business and accepting new clients.  We look forward to helping you find awareness and healing with the strength you already have inside you.
